Kim Hiles is a passionate educator, author, and coach based in Austin, Texas. With over 21 years of experience, she has empowered both children and adults through her work in social-emotional learning, physical education, behavior coaching, and restorative practices. Her dynamic teaching style combines empathy, structure, and a deep belief in every person’s potential for growth.
An accomplished author, Kim has written five insightful books, including two poetry collections that explore themes of self-discovery, resilience, and creative expression. Through her writing, blog, and guided meditations, she inspires others to find meaning, clarity, and connection in their own lives.
Kim is also a certified professional coach (ICF-accredited through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches), a 3rd degree Reiki Practitioner, and a seasoned workshop facilitator on topics such as parenting, emotional wellness, and interpersonal relationships. She has presented at events like the Austin School Garden Network Conference and previously hosted the local cable show The Spiritual Experience in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Her holistic, heart-centered approach blends research, real-life experience, and intuitive insight. Whether in the classroom, a coaching session, or through her creative work, Kim’s mission remains the same: to help others live with purpose, connection, and authenticity.
She currently resides in Austin with her partner of 30 years.
